Optimal hires new business development manager

With the popularity of process analytical technology (PAT) accelerating Optimal Industrial Technologies, a global leader in PAT knowledge management software, has appointed Ryan Dougall as business development manager to support the company’s growth.

Ryan Dougall has over 20 years of experience working in the fields of industrial automation, inspection systems, quality and process control. He has extensive knowledge of software for highly regulated industries, such as pharmaceutical, biotechnology and nuclear that require compliance with the FDA’s Title 21 CFR Part 11 regulations on electronic records and signatures. This includes established relationships with organisations such as Pfizer, Lonza and AWE nuclear.

In addition, Dougall holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, U.S., and he is trained in a Six Sigma approach and methodology to improve business processes.

In his new role as business development manager, Mr. Dougall will be responsible for driving new business initiatives for the software products offered by Optimal. Including the PAT production and knowledge management framework synTQ, currently in use by over half of the largest global pharmaceutical manufacturing companies worldwide.
