Optimal to highlight PAT enablement at ISPE San Diego 2017

Building on the widespread uptake of its process analytical technology (PAT) platform synTQ, Optimal Industrial Technologies will be present on Stand 1505 at ISPE San Diego to underline the real-world productivity, quality and efficiency gains that it can deliver.

Taking place from 29th October – 1st November 2017, ISPE attendees will have the chance to meet with Optimal experts and discuss how to improve their pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing processes.

Optimal has been a regular at ISPE and PAT events for many years, as these events centre on highlighting new innovations in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. PAT is currently one of the major drivers in the industry, where it is causing a paradigm shift within manufacturing – from traditional batch processing towards the end goal of continuous production and the attainment of real-time release.

With over half of the global pharma majors now working with synTQ, the efficiency, cost and product quality advantages the framework offers are being proven around the world.

In application, synTQ gathers information on process and product quality attributes via non-destructive instrumentation techniques, with this data being processed in real-time. Data can then be turned into knowledge via multi-variate models embedded within synTQ, revealing product quality predictions that were previously ‘hidden’ in the input data.  These quality predictions can then be utilised to automatically control manufacture in real time, based on quality and not just process parameters, in a regulatory compliant manner. This live, holistic quality assurance process eliminates the need to employ post production and batch testing – decreasing the time to market for pharma and biotech products. Furthermore, the software can be fully integrated to support the entire product lifecycle from development to full manufacturing operations.

Martin Gadsby, Director at Optimal Industrial Technologies, said: “With approval from regulatory bodies such as the FDA, and uptake from major manufacturers, PAT is quickly becoming an industry standard. At this time, it’s of the utmost importance that we provide existing and potential end users with clear implementation paths, so they can quickly gain the benefits of a proven and robust PAT framework enablement platform such as synTQ. For those currently looking to increase manufacturing performance, we strongly urge you to visit the Optimal stand to see how we can support your requirements.”

ISPE San Diego 2017 takes place from 29th October – 1st November, at the Marriott Marquis, San Diego Marina, San Diego, CA, U.S.A.
