PAT – Generic

PAT, (Process Analytical Technology), has been an extremely important technology to Optimal for approaching 10 years.  We were one of the first companies to develop a Data Management Tool – synTQ^®, and we still lead the world with our technology.  The provision of this technology globally is assured by our alliance agreement with Emerson Process Management.  We have installed many PAT systems for a variety of applications, however due to issues of confidentiality we cannot write much about them, simply because we very often don’t know what they are being used for else we are bound by confidentiality!  We can say that some of the applications are stand-alone where there is no interface to a 3^rd party control system, and some interface to 3^rd party control systems such as Emerson, Siemens and Rockwell.

Being hardware neutral synTQ^® can connect to virtually any control system.  Obviously all the installations that we have executed interface to instruments and multivariate analysis packages, and we have a comprehensive and growing list of instruments and MVA packages for which adaptors exist.  And this is a growing list – as a new adaptor is required we write it.  Suffice to say, if you have a potential PAT application we have the technology and skill set that can help you make your process truly PAT enabled.
